Stake Information

There are two types of stakes being used to display bandit or road signs - wooden stakes or wire stakes.

Wooden stakes which may be purchased at home depot, are available at 29 cents each. With these stakes you will also need ¾" roofing cap nails. Some of these nail come with a round plastic cap and others have a square metal cap. The round caps look neater and more professional. These wooden stakes require a lot of work and are a lot of trouble. We discourage their use unless money is a real big problem.

Wire stakes on the other hand are very easy to use and are more functional. They are much more expensive. We sell 15" wire stakes for $.70 each and 30" wire stakes for $1.40 each. This price includes shipping and handling to your door by UPS. These stakes are made of treated 9ga. wire and are rust resistant.

Last but not least are the utility poles. To put these signs on utility poles you should purchase a Hammer Tacker staple gun (made by Arrow) from Home depot. It works just like a hammer and injects ½" staples right through the coroplast sign into the wooden pole. This is by far the easiest and cheapest way to display bandit signs or roadside signs. For best results these signs should be placed at eye level with the cars trying to read them
